Thank you for contacting HarperCollins Christian Publishing regarding your Bible download.  The color Nook needs to be configured for red letter, it does not default to it automatically.  Here are the instructions:

  1. Touch the bottom of the screen for page and text reference
  2. Choose text
  3. Turn on the publish default
  4. Now you have red letter for the words of Jesus
