(Grand Rapids, MI) August 20, 2018—Zondervan announced Mick Silva today as the new senior acquisitions editor for Zondervan nonfiction trade books.

Silva’s publishing experience includes writing and acquisitions for Focus on the Family and Waterbrook Multnomah. In those roles, he acquired memoir, self-help, marriage, parenting, Christian living, men’s interest, young family and teen books and developed ancillary products. In recent years, Silva has consulted and coached nonfiction writers, editing for several large and small publishers, and assisting agents and authors with proposal targeting.

“Mick is a key addition to our Zondervan acquisitions team. What we’re adding is great sensibilities, experience, attention to story, and a consistent track record of strong sales and dedication to relationships,” says David Morris, vice president and publisher for Zondervan nonfiction. “It’s an honor to have the acquisitions strength we have at Zondervan, and between Mick and our other editors—all great champions for our authors and their books—our program is guaranteed to find new growth and influence for a long time to come.”
