Bestselling The Jesus Bible to reach more readers in new editions— exclusive NIV Comfort Print® typeface, and NVI and ESV translations

Grand Rapids, Mich., June 21, 2018 — After a phenomenal first year, placing high both in Amazon and ECPA rankings, Zondervan is delighted to announce that The Jesus Bible will be available in new editions in late 2018 and early 2019.

In 2017, The Jesus Bible was Zondervan’s bestselling NIV study Bible and was one of the Evangelical Christian Publisher Association’s (ECPA) bestselling study Bibles, as well as #11 overall for ECPA Bibles. More than 140,000 copies of The Jesus Bible have entered circulation since its launch at Passion Conference in January 2017.

Over the following year, the ministry of The Jesus Bible will be extended in three ways. First, in October 2018, The Jesus Bible will be released with new covers and in Zondervan’s exclusive NIV Comfort Print® typeface, making it more readable than ever. It will also be available for the first time in indexed editions.

In February 2019, The Jesus Bible will be published by Editorial Vida, Zondervan’s Spanish division, in the Nueva Versión Internacional, reaching Spanish readers in the United States, Latin America, and Spain.

Finally, just in time for Easter, The Jesus Bible will be published by Zondervan in March 2019 in the English Standard Version (ESV). “In its first eighteen months of publication, The Jesus Bible, NIV Edition has been a massive success, reaching readers of all ages, including those in the increasingly influential 18 to 36-year-old market,” says Kevin Marks, managing director, Passion Publishing. “We are grateful to HarperCollins Christian Publishing for everything they are doing to lift this incredible resource—the launch in November of The Jesus Bible in their exclusive Zondervan NIV Comfort Print® is a significant investment in the future success of the NIV edition. And we believe that expanding the impact by offering The Jesus Bible in both Spanish language editions and the ESV is a powerful step towards making The Jesus Bible accessible to the fullness of the Church and the global Passion Movement.”

The Jesus Bible, which features essays from general editor Louie Giglio as well as Max Lucado, John Piper, Ravi Zacharias, and Randy Alcorn, helps readers follow the thread of Jesus from cover to cover. The Jesus Bible features 66 book introductions and over 1,000 articles, which help readers discover a new depth to the Bible’s meaning as they see Jesus in every chapter of the story.
